ZJ 93-98 D44A Differential Skid

$207.99$287.99

SKU: N/A Categories: , ,

Achilles had his heel, and the 96+ v8 ZJs have an aluminum rear differential. This new skid will protect the lowest hanging, arguably most vulnerable, and vital component in the 4wd drivetrain. Constructed from CNC plasma cut 1/4" steel.

Bent into nine different facets, for extreme strength, this skid/slider hugs the aluminum differential very tight, sacrificing only 3/8" ground clearance! Bolting around the axle tubes and again around the pinion with 7/16" grade 8 bolts, this skid protects the diff from severe damage by easily sliding over rocks and anything else looking to destroy your axle. Will fit d44a axles in both WJ and ZJ Jeeps.
Arrives bare steel, standard, and select powder coat in the drop-down menu for an additional cost.

*** THE ADDED OPTION FOR THE REAR LIP GUARD WILL NOT FIT IN CONJUNCTION WITH AFTERMARKET DIFFERENTIAL COVERS***

*** A spacer may be needed for jeep WJ swaybars with this skid***

  1. Very easy to install and well worth the money. With in 30min of being on the trail, I came down HARD on a rock centered of my pinion yoke and centered on the rear diff. If it wasn’t for the skid plate i would have broke my axle indefinitely. GREAT PRODUCT!! 10 out of 10 :star:️

  2. Smart design, well made, beefy, and easy install. Only issue is front loop clamp is to big. Spacers made it work.

  3. Fit like a glove

  4. 10/10 would recommend buying for extra protection. Ended up scooping up this Diff Skid when I swapped in a D44A in the Jeep and it's easy to install and adds great extra protection.

  5. Super easy install (a little challenging with one person but, easy nonetheless), extremely well built and great quality. A must have for any D44A to help protect that aluminum center section. I no longer have to worry about dragging my rear diff on rocks. I guess my only concern is, the horseshoe piece that wraps around the pinion housing seems like it should be able to sit further back on the house (mount behind the two holes on the main skid instead of on the front) to provide for more vertical support of the skid a the input but, maybe it is designed the way it is for a reason, I am not a product designer.

Definitely worth mentioning that this company goes out of their way to take care of their customers and make things right. A+ in that respect for sure. Keep up the great work.
