ZJ 242-231 Transfer Case Shift Linkage

Mountain Vista Fabrication transfer case shift linkage for the Jeep ZJ Grand Cherokee.
This carefully engineered shift linkage replaces 100% of the stock linkage, which is inevitably prone to failure, leading to the transfer case being unable to shift into the correct gear—a very annoying and troublesome problem.
With this new linkage, we've eliminated a separate link rod that the stock setup employs, simplifying the action and providing a smooth yet secure and confident shift into all five t-case gear options. The shift pattern is retained in the same direction too. Don't get stuck in the mud having to crawl under the Jeep and manually shift the case! Hardware utilizes nylock nuts to prevent the hardware from loosening up and falling off. Both new tabs are powder coated for a robust and long-life finish.

Wow.. i couldnt believe it.. it fits perfectly..
Zj 5.2 with 242 case. Wasted money on Novak's mod.. didnt work.. then bought the mechanical version of shifters.. tgar didnt work as well.. probably an XJ that ZJ w/5.2 engine.
I purchased from MVF.. and wow.. it works perfectly.. 20 min. Assembly.. thats it.

I’ll just be blunt in this review.
If you’re still messing around with the stock linkage and haven’t upgraded to a one piece, just stick to driving your Prius then.
It takes a little work to get the adjustment correct but if you can’t figure that out and decide to complain about it on social media You probably shouldn’t be working on a vehicle let alone upgrading a door knob in your house.
Been running this linkage for years and it works great! Get the 242 link if you have a 242 swap on a Niner.
Love the idea, but didn't know I still needed to grind some of the bracket off. Sat too close to me driveshaft. It would catch and fling it out of gear. Other than that works smoothly.
Very easy to install with little to no issue. Straight to the point instructions with detailed image. Everything was packaged like they care. I definitely recommend this company. Best part you even get a sticker with your order!
